Dr. Harvey Simovitch

Born in Winnipeg, Manitoba,Canada, Dr. Simovitch attended the University of Manitoba and attained an M.D. and BSc(med) degree from the University of Manitoba Medical College. After graduation, he completed a rotating internship at the University of Florida Hospital in Jacksonville and then a Pediatric Residency at New York University/Bellevue Hospital in Manhattan. After his residency, Dr. Simovitch completed a one year Pediatric Cardiology Fellowship at The Women and Children’s Hospital of Buffalo. Upon completion of his formal training, he served in the military for two years as a pediatrician with the rank of Major at the Dwight D. Eisenhower Medical Center at Ft Gordon, Georgia.
Dr. Simovitch joined Pediatric Professional Associates after his military service and has practiced continuously in this office ever since.

Dr. Simovitch is Board Certified and a Fellow in The American Academy of Pediatrics. He has served as President of The Greater Miami Pediatric Society and on its Executive Committee. He is a past President of the Medical Staff at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and previously served on its Board of Directors for seven years. Dr. Simovitch has been honored by his peers who have selected him continuously since 2000 to the list of Top Docs, Best Physicians in South Florida as well as Best Doctors in America.

When not working, Dr. Simovitch loves spending leisure time with his wife and their three children and participating in the lives of their six wonderful grandchildren.
